Although I do realize that it's complicated, and that there are a lot of factors that go into this data, it's worthy of discussion in a class that cares about real-world statistical implications.

Does the second one just include more countries?
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the first one in context of the second, it's pretty misleading. It makes sense for the life expectancy to reach some sort of limiting value / asymptotic behavior. U.S., at 78-ish, can't be that far off, especially if you take cultural differences into consideration.
